The use of video on the web has become prevalent in almost any website, corporate and amateur alike. From the traditional content providers such as the big TV networks websites to social websites such as myspace.com and youtube.com.
Web video is now where Web graphics were in 1996 — sites without it are going to look awfully vanilla.
With that said, most of these video experiences and segments, although may be compelling in content, suggest a passive user experience or what we define as two dimensional experience. Ask yourself:
- What if, the user experience can be far more engaging by enabling interaction with the video?
- What if we could offer another dimension to the video experience, extending it beyond the current passive offering?
- What if the tool for doing that will be as intuitive and as simple as a web browser, enabling everybody to add comments
That is what Videomment is doing with its solution:
- The Videomment solution is easy to use with little to no technical/professional knowledge (no scripting).
- The final outcome can be ported to multiple online properties (created once, published many).
- The Videomment solution works with all existing browsers and platforms over HTTP.
- The Videomment solution provides accurate metrics about usage and interaction, clearly demonstrating ROI.
- The Videomment solution uses existing video formats with no need for recompression or re-encoding.
- The Videomment solution requires no additional software and the incremental file size is negligible.
Although online video editors are not a new idea, Videomment simplify the process and enables multiple people to supply input, voice their opinion without manipulating the original video maintaining strict copyright laws.
By adding another dimension to the video experience, Videomerce enhances the user experience, increases viewer engagement, initiates call to action and deepens the relationship with the users.
Videomment is NOT a video sharing network
The Videomment solution can be integrated into ANY video sharing network or into any content provider who offers video on the web and is interested in adding "director comments" or enables others to comment on his video.

Videomment was founded by Robbie Cohen, a serial entrepreneur with extensive internet experience. Before Videomment, Robbie founded Adveno, an interactive agency with client such as BMW, State of NJ, Lower Manhattan Development Corporation and others. Prior to that Robbie was the eBusiness Strategy Practice Manager at TACT where he managed millions of dollars engagements in various Fortune 500 companies in the Tri-state area.
Videomment is located in NJ and has a team of 6 people and growing. Videomment is looking to become a technology provider to web sites who are using video and video sharing networks.
